How will AI imagine humans in the future, long after they have become extinct? And what does it mean to be ‘offline’ in that world? In Offline Tourists, you enter the mind of a cyborg who imagines the analog world of humans.
Offline Tourists is set in the year 2500. Humans have become extinct and the earth is overgrown with greenery. But among all that greenery live cyborgs of all shapes and sizes. A so-called Hu-bot organizes an experience for the cyborg audience. From the future, the Hu-bot takes the viewer back to 2025 to explore what it meant to be offline and what life was like for those offline beings.
We can’t even imagine that in 2500! To complete your experience, the Hu-bot creates two copies of humans – including flesh, blood, and bones – for educational and entertainment purposes. Come and see! Come and see! The reverse Frankenstein!
